Fall is Here!

I just looooove Fall. The air is so crisp, the sky so blue, candy corn, pumpkins, costumes, smores, hay rides..... It is such a busy time of year for us. Eric loves Fall as well! Only for him it is a time for football, shrimping, and fishing. We have already started our unit on Fall at "Mommy's Preschool" ( HEE-HEE). Prime example, candy corn as a reward for going to the potty! Seriously,we have taken walks to look for leaves that are changing colors. One day we took our pumpkins and collected leaves and acorns in them. Later that day we used them to make Fall wreaths along with orange and yellow tissue paper. It was so fun. The twins are so independent (not a clue as to where they get that from). "Mommy, I want to use the glue all by myself!" On another cool day we rolled out the butcher paper and made apple prints. Caroline enjoyed playing on a blanket in the grass. The kids love looking for pumpkins and scarecrows on our family walks. So....after a trip to Wal-mart and Target we now how three small scarecrows sticking out of our mums, and a medium sized jack-o-lantern that lights up! Nothing to big, just enough to get those precious smiles. More Fall activities to come.

My Babies Can Sing!

Funny stuff folks! Lance and Lilly Grace (LG as we call her) love to sing. The minute we get in the car they say, "Mommy I want to hear my song." For Lance, She'll be Comin Round the Mountain. For Lilly, The Muffin Man or Polly put the Kettle On. Caroline likes them as well. She stops crying the minute she hears them.
He's Got the Whole World is a family favorite. We love adding names of family and friends. Meal time is always precious. Hmmm... let me reword that. The beginning of meal time is precious. We sing a prayer before we eat. God our Fahder, God our Fahder.... Sometimes we sing in place of reading books at night. Lilly loves to say gin (again) mommy. I hope music is always something that they enjoy! My father sings and plays the guitar. The kids love to listen to him play. Playing with his guitar and keyboard when we visit is always a must. They visited the children's hour at the library with Nana a few times. They have a great program with musical instruments and songs, plays, etc.... It is always a big hit! Take a look at the picture of Lance playing his guitar with my dad! SOOOOO PRECIOUS. He was tapping his little foot and nodding his head (I have it on video). LG and Caroline were dancing to their music! LOVE IT!

Beach Fun!

We have taken a few trips to the beach this summer.  Eric and I agree that the best time to go is in the evening.  No sunscreen, hopefully no poops, dinner is out of the way, less crowded, etc...  Anyway, it works for us.  The twins enjoy playing in the tidal pools, looking for shark teeth, building castles, and kicking the big blue ball. Caroline loves crawling around and eating sand!!!! Lance is still kind of cautious around the water.  He likes the ocean, but now he knows about what lives in the ocean!!!!!  There are sharks in their mommy????  Lilly Grace is ok as long as someone holds her.

Way Behind

Goodness! I am way behind on posting!!!! I have a ton of "special memories" from this summer that I need to catch up on this weekend. But,I could not let today go by without writing about a few "sweet" baby moments. I really wish that I could just bottle each moment and put it up on a shelf! Would it not be soooo cool to just open a bottle, and POOF replay that moment. Hold your babies again fresh from the tummy, listen to them ahh and coo, etc..... Guess I will just have to settle with the DVD's! Caroline has cut her first two bottom teeth this week! It appears that more are just under the surface. She has not been too fussy, just wide awake?????
She also has started repeating me when I say uh-oh! So, her first words so far have been mama and uh-oh!!! The twins are really enjoying their new tricycles (courtesy of Papa and Mimi). Lance says he is fast! Lilly Grace likes saying, "Wait on me Wance." (will post pictures soon) LITTLE TIDBITS: I caught Lance standing on the tub tonight watching himself sing in the mirror-too funny! Lilly Grace decided to decorate the house with toilet paper today!
